As Memorial Day approaches may we take the time to remember how precious and hard fought our freedom is. It has been paid for by the blood of patriots, from Lexington and Concord to the Middle East. Throughout our history, and around the globe, men and women have served selflessly and on Memorial Day we remember all of those who showed the greatest love that a human can express, to willingly lay down their own life for another.
Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. John 15:13
