“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
Have you ever felt weak? Have you ever worked so hard, run so far, or endured so much that you felt like you reached your breaking point? In those moments, where did you turn?
Paul knew what it was like to reach the breaking point. Paul had been shipwrecked, imprisoned, beaten, whipped, stoned and left for dead. He had been poor, hungry, cold, and lonely. He had been tormented by “a thorn in the flesh” and yet, he boasted in his weakness. He knew the real source of power and strength was found in Jesus, his precious savior.
My friend, Jesus is so big, so powerful, so awesome, that His power can take you at your weakest and make you strong. You may be at the end of your rope, or running on fumes, but Christ is ready to give you the strength you need to stand. So, pray for God’s grace. It’s more than enough.
