On the evening of May 12, our community will be honoring the men and women who serve as police officers in Calvert County. It will also be a time to honor police officers who have given their lives in the line of duty. This is a yearly event, yet sadly, most of the audience usually consists of uniformed law enforcement personnel and their families. That’s sad, isn’t it?
Our hope is that this year, more of us who serve as church leaders will attend and show our support. This is an opportunity for us to show, by our attendance, appreciation for those who serve us 24-7.
