From the beginning, God created us for relationship with Him and with each other. Jesus didn’t call His disciples to walk separate paths. He brought them together. They shared meals, prayed, struggled, and grew side by side.
That hasn’t changed.
At Life Church Calvert, we believe real spiritual growth happens in real community. It starts with gathering around God’s Word. It grows through open conversations, shared meals, and friendships rooted in Christ. It deepens when we show up for one another week after week.
That’s what our groups are all about.
Whether you’ve just started attending or you’ve been here for years, there’s a place for you. You don’t need to have it all together. You just need to take a step.
We now offer four types of adult groups to help you grow in faith and build lasting connections:
- Groups (Life Groups and Community Groups) for Bible study, fellowship, and shared interests
- LCC University for short-term classes that teach and equip
- Men’s Groups for men growing stronger together
- Women’s Groups for women walking in faith side by side
Each group is an opportunity to belong, to grow, and to follow Jesus in community.

Life Groups
Seasonal, sermon-based groups that help you apply Sunday’s message and grow deeper in your faith.
Community Groups
Relational groups are built around shared experiences that make it easy to connect and invite others.
LCC University
Short-term classes focused on books of the Bible or specific topics to strengthen your understanding and faith.
Men’s Groups
Opportunities for men to grow in faith, friendship, and purpose through discipleship groups, studies, and shared activities.

Spaces for women to grow in their walk with God and build strong friendships through studies, prayer, and connection.

How can I join a group?
You can find and join a Group on our Groups Directory and learn more by contacting the Group Leaders directly.
I have kids, are they welcome at Groups?
At Life Church Calvert, we love kids, but we also recognize that not every Group is effectively set up to welcome families with kids. For this reason, every group can identify whether it can host kids in the group directory.
Do I have to be a member of LCC to join a Group?
No. You don’t have to be a member of Life Church to join. In fact, many people find Groups a great way to connect with others at the church and make new friends.
Do you offer sermon discussions for Groups?
Specific Life Groups can customize how their time is spent to best serve their people. Many Groups focus on studying the Bible together, some study a book about Jesus together, and some discuss the most recent sermon or work through Sermon Guides together. Some Groups even make meals together. We recommend checking out the Groups Directory to better understand how each Group spends its time together.
Is there a fee associated with joining a Group?
At Life Church, we rarely charge a fee for anything. Freely we have been given, so freely we give. However, on occasion, there may be a fee associated with a group. For example, a Meet-up may be going to an event together and there may be a ticket or entrance fee associated with that venue. There is no cost to join any group, and your group leader will let you know of any associated fees, should there be any.
