Calvert Cares for Charlie Benefit May 17th

Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ “He will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’.
– Matthew 24:44-45

Would you like an opportunity to help a family in need? Baby Charlie was born in November of 2013 with a heart defect that will require multiple heart surgeries; he has already had two surgeries and is now recovering nicely at home. On Saturday, May 17, a benefit will be held at the Calvert County Fairgrounds from 6:30-11:30 PM, to help Charlie’s family pay for some of his medical expenses. Those putting the benefit together are in need of 8 additional volunteers for the evening. These volunteers will be serving food and drinks (buffet style) and assisting with the clean up after the event. Life Church has made a financial donation to help meet this need. If you would like to help by being one of the volunteers needed at this event, please stop by Life Line today, or email us at
