In this heavenly realm, God offers "water from the spring of the life" to all who are thirsty. In eternity, we will have unhindered access to this life-giving stream, drinking deeply from God's presence and never running dry.

While we don't yet experience His presence in its fullness, we have the indwelling Holy Spirit as a deposit and guarantee of what's to come. We can cultivate intimacy with God now, knowing that it's just a foretaste of the unbroken communion we'll enjoy for eternity.

Like a child pedaling furiously toward the welcoming porch light after a long day of play, we can press on toward our eternal home with hope and anticipation.
