A 2020 Christmas Update

Hello, and welcome to Life Church, so nice to have you tuning in to us today. You know, we’re hoping in the next couple of weeks we can really be a place of encouragement for you and if there’s one thing that we need right now, in our lives, it’s encouragement.

If you are like me, over the past year, you probably had your moments when you shed some tears, moments of great and discouragement and sadness, and probably some moments of Triumph too! This year has been a strange year, a year where there been losses and great victories as well. One of the things that we are so grateful to God for right now is that even in the midst of a global pandemic, God has blessed Life Church and has allowed our building project to move forward during this entire COVID season.

While there have been some delays on the way and some things that you know we didn’t expect, because after all who expected any of this? God has brought us to the point we are getting very close to being able to move into our new facility. Now, what I would love to be able to say to you today is that we have a firm date, but the reality is we don’t have that date just yet, but we do expect to have that in just a few weeks. It is looking more and more likely that we will probably be given the keys to our facility for use, either at the very end of December or early in January, but again don’t quote me on that.

If there’s one thing that we’ve learned this year, is to expect the unexpected. Now in light of that many of you have known that throughout this year we’ve been broadcasting to you and streaming to you, services and content that we created during the year. Over the next three weeks on December 6th, 13th, and 20th, we are going to be rebroadcasting our series, Carol’s of the King from last Christmas [2019]. You may be asking, “well why are we doing that?”, well the answer is fairly simple. Our equipment is being installed in our new facility, and while we had hoped that while we were making a transition we would be able to use it a little sooner, we just aren’t able to be operational in that facility just yet. So after speaking with our team, we thought it best, at least for the next few weeks, to allow that equipment to continue to be installed and to take a look back at what I believe were some great content from last year, some encouraging words. As we were going through it the other night I was like, “Wow Lord, even the words being shared in these messages are very timely for us today”. So over the next three Sundays, we just encourage you to tune in and to spend some time getting a little closer to Jesus.

Now also be on the lookout for more information in terms of our opening up. As many of you know we have not been able to meet in person because the facility that we were using at New Life, has been closed until next year [when] we will be in our facility. So the next time we are together in person will be at the new building.

I want to encourage you, if you have any questions or you just want to know a little bit more about what’s going on, you free to reach out to me and in the meantime, we pray that you are blessed and well we want to wish you the merriest of Christmases. Oh, and one more thing, one thing that is kinda important. We are shooting to broadcast on Christmas Eve, a new service from our facility but while we won’t be able to meet in person at that point we are planning on being in that facility [filming], at least that’s the plan as of today.

God bless you love you for praying for you we wish you the merriest of Christmases.
